HOLLYWOOD IS GETTING A NEW PARK… OVER THE FREEWAY?

I’ve been following this for the past couple of years and I’m really excited that it’s actually moving forward. The idea is to put a park over the 101 Freeway. You know how when the 101 cuts through Hollywood, it has big walls on either side of it, well the idea is to cap it and put a park on top. The video gives a much better idea of how it will look. It’s a really ingenious bit of urban planning and would give Hollywood some much needed green space that is incorporated into the city, rather than having a destination park (like Griffith park which is wonderful in and of itself). If you live in LA, def check out the video. If not, move along.

This park-over-the-freeway- idea is also being proposed for a section of downton as well.
